JAMMU, January 1: The modernization works of the sports stadium of the Bahu Fort government upper secondary school were initiated by Sham Lal Basson, municipal councilor number 48, as well as Rajeev Charak, chairman of the development committee of Fort Bahu and Baldev Raj Nargotra, chair of the committee, here today.
The advisor said it was a long-standing demand from people and that its upgrades including the compound wall, chain fence wall and changing rooms for boys and girls will be completed at a cost of Rs 50 lakhs.
The chairman of the committee appreciated the adviser for the upgrading of the said school’s sports facilities, which helps to engage young people in sports activities and also helps young people to stay away from the threat of drugs.
The adviser later assured that other ongoing works such as parking lots, drinking water supply and health facilities will soon be provided. They also visited the Bahu temple and took stock of the facilities available to the faithful.
